On Thursday night, the Thunderbirds suffered a 5-1 defeat at the hands of the Tigers. Bodie Wilson took the loss, pitching for five innings and conceding 5 runs on 8 hits, along with 3 walks and 8 strikeouts. At the plate, the Thunderbirds managed only 6 hits throughout the night. Brent Smerczynski led the team, going 2 for 2 with a single and a double. Joe Lowry contributed a single and scored the sole run on an RBI groundout by Marc Boggio.
